Classification and use of waterproof tape

Urea-formaldehyde glue with low formaldehyde emission: It is the adhesive with the largest output in my country. Polyurethane adhesive: It is widely used in shoemaking, construction, automobile and other fields, and is considered to be one of the most promising glues in China due to its excellent performance. In developed countries, polyurethane adhesives are used in shoemaking, and silicone and polyurethane adhesives are mainly used in building sealants. In addition, polyurethane adhesives are also used in food packaging and magnetic tapes, and their uses are very wide.

How to use PVC waterproof tape

1. The construction method of waterproof tape is based on the gap and seam width of the surface joints and the requirements of the engineering design, and the specifications and sizes are selected.

2. Wipe the surface joints and cracks clean.

3. Starting from one end of the surface crack, tear off the isolation paper on the asphalt tape and slowly open it along the joint in a straight line. Apply the asphalt tape to the joint and crack of the roof, and then gently press the asphalt tape with your hand to make the joint firmly bonded and tightly sealed.

Precautions for the use of waterproof tape

1. This regulation applies to sealing and waterproofing projects that use tape as waterproof roll material to bond civil structure roofs.

2. When designing or using waterproof tape, it should be carried out in accordance with relevant regulations or in reference to our company’s corporate standards.

3. Construction is required within the temperature range of -15℃-45℃ (corresponding measures should be taken when the temperature range is exceeded. When it is cold, it is best to heat the hatch surface and the adhesive side of the seal before use.)

4. The surface of the base must be cleaned or wiped clean, kept dry, and free of loose soil and oil.

5. The bonding area cannot be torn or peeled off within 24 hours after construction.

6. Tapes of different models and specifications should be selected according to actual project needs.
